Question better channeler?

hey i wanted to find out if some1 has a better build for a rt...i hate to be the teams healer or supporter so when i created my rt i decided to make a dmg only char and now i am working with this build:
[Octanes Caretaker;OQMgQQblTJTGXeTOOFMXMA]
...and i ussualy do a lot of rifts (this was before the last nerf)

Anyone can give me a hint for a better build, but to keep the aspect of a rt, i'm not looking for ele or mes builds to put on him. TY

My brother runs a similar build, and this has been discussed, and argued over, time and time and time again.

Mighty was Vorizun is not good. It just "replaces" your weapons - and so you lose any HCT/HSR bonuses, it doesn't give you as much +armor as Protective was Kaolai would, which is a much, much better item spell, and it also in a sub-par attribute line, which means you can't put as many points in Restoration as you probably should, for more party-support abilities.

Caretaker's Charge is a weak elite. I personally like the idea of it, but...it just need to do more.

Renewing Surge is just a flare spam.

Channeled Strike is too expensive for the amount of damage it does. Personally I'd only use Renewing Surge and Channeled Strike with Attuned was Songkai.

Let me be the first to say: you have no Splinter Weapon.

You'll more than likely have your build amended the same way by everyone... Splinter Weapon, Ancestors' Rage, Offering of Spirit, Spirit Light, Life. Gogo Variety.

I like Ancestors' Rage.

If you're going to run targeted offensive support with Ancestor's Rage, you should add [[splinter weapon].
[[offering of spirit] is better e-management than Caretaker's Charge and allows you to spam Rift ad infinitum.
Add [[essence strike] for additional spammy e-management.

If you want to hybrid into Restoration, Celestial Beaver's outlined the basic build.

I've gotten pretty spoiled with quick kills using high damage channeling and weapon buffs.

Ancestors' Rage
Splinter Weapon
Wailing Weapon
Weapon of Fury (E)
Spirit Rift
Lamentation
Spirit Boon Strike (expensive, but with Channeling at 15 does 100 damage)
Spirit Burn (for cheap spamming) or Flesh of My Flesh (if I'm in a group with real people, if only with H/H I let them to the raising)

I get a bit frustrated at the people who think Rits are only Monks in prettier armor. We can do quite a bit of damage ourselves, let alone the buffs we can add to the group.

Maybe think about Destructive Was Glave. 10% armor pen. and a good damage spike when you drop the ashes.

Don't use Caretaker's Charge. It's like an elite version of Flare.

EDIT: Here's the skillbar I use:

[Bloodsong]
[Spirit Rift]
[Ancestors Rage]
[splinter weapon]
[Offering of Spirit]
[vengeful weapon]
[Mend Body and Soul]
[Flesh of My Flesh]

I have a very hard time understanding why Rits in GvG bring it.

OP: Support is one thing that Rits can do better than most. If you'd like to do damage, don't forget Spirit's Strength. Add a couple spear or dagger attacks and some utility for a pretty nice build.

if we're talking about pve then go ritu/dervish since aura of holy might adds a nice dmg bonus on spirit strength

If by rits in GvG you mean rawr. It's good for them because they are a very strong spike guild, and caretakers is a good damage addition to their spike when the rit is there.

True. I've seen other spike oriented guilds bring Caretakers as well.
